What are Flight
Schedules?
Delta's Flight Schedules provide easy-to-use travel
planning tools that will help you look up scheduled flights and plan
itineraries, either online or without an Internet connection. You can find the
most recent application and periodic updates to download to your Palm Powered™
handheld, Pocket PC, or PC from the Flight
Schedules page.
Do I need
to be connected to the Internet to use the downloadable Flight
Schedules?
After you download the Flight Schedules application and
updates from delta.com (which requires brief Internet access), connection is
unnecessary.
On what platforms can I use the downloadable Flight
Schedules?
Currently, downloadable Flight Schedules are available
for Palm Powered handhelds using OS 2.0 and higher and Pocket PC. The desktop
application is compatible with Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT, ME, and XP. Macintosh
users can download Palm files on the Mac download page or a
PDF version from the Flight
Schedules page.
Why doesn't the Delta Flight
Schedule application work after downloading it to my Pocket PC 2003
device?
Unlike
previous versions of their operating system, Microsoft's Pocket PC 2003 version
does not include eMbedded Visual Basic Runtime files, which are necessary to run
legacy eVB applications such as the Delta Flight Schedules application on your
Pocket PC 2003 device. You may correct this problem by downloading the needed
files from Microsoft. Some users have reported that after downloading,
the Microsoft package will not install, receiving an error message indicating
the files are not compatible with their device. If this occurs, there is
currently no known fix for correcting this error.

Do you plan
on offering a Flight Schedules desktop application for the Macintosh?
We currently have no plans to offer a desktop application for the
Mac operating system. Macintosh users can download a PDF version from the Flight
Schedules page.
Do you
plan on offering a Flight Schedules application for Windows CE powered
PDAs?
While Delta currently offers the Flight Schedules
application for Palm Powered devices and Pocket PC, we will continue to evaluate
market share of PDA operating systems to ensure that we serve the needs of the
majority of passengers.
How do I determine my Pocket PC processor
type?
To determine your processor type, do the following on your
Pocket PC device:
- Tap the start button.
- Tap Settings.
- On the System tab, Tap About.
- The processor type is displayed near the center of the screen.
You can download the newest data update from the Flight Schedules page. You will receive automatic notification on the application when your data is out-of-date. For your Palm Powered device, you may also elect to install the automatic update feature which downloads a Palm software plug-in called a conduit. Any time you're connected to the Internet and perform a sync, you'll automatically receive Delta's newest version of the Flight Schedules application for your handheld.

While installing the Delta ETT on my Pocket PC I received the following message: File in Use: The file "\Windows\MSCEGrid.dll" is in use or is in ROM... What do I do?
The most likely reason you received this message is that the Delta Flights program is currently running on your device. (Under certain circumstances, the file name may be different.) To fix this problem, do the following:
- Tap Start
- Tap Settings
- Tap the System tab at the bottom of the screen
- Tap Memory
- Tap the Running Programs tab at the bottom of the screen
- If you see "Delta Flights" in the list of running programs, tap it, then tap Stop.
- You should also see "Installing Delta Electronic Timetable " in the list. Tap it, then tap Activate.
- You should see the original message. Tap Yes (Try again) If the message persists, there could be another program using the file. Determine what program it is, and stop it in the same way you stopped the Delta Flights program.
This is probably due to a bug in some versions of Pocket PC 2002. You may be able to fix the problem by going to your device manufacturer's web site (HP, Compaq etc.) to download and install a service pack for Pocket PC 2002. In some cases, you may also need to install a "firmware update" prior to the service pack.
Why can't I open PDF Flight Schedules on my Mac?
We recommend configuring the MAC to use Adobe Acrobat Reader to open PDF files.
